Clearwater was positioned as a great food destination and thus selected to represent the State of Florida at the Great American Seafood Cookoff. It’s here where the King/Queen of American Seafood is annually crowned. 

Clearwater’s Fresh Fish

This event gave the city a way to promote fresh seafood harvested from the Gulf of Mexico. Hogfish, grouper, stone crab, and more are synonymous with Clearwater.

Top 5 in the Country

Clearwater’s chef rocked through his hour-long cooking time and presented his dish to judges from some of the country’s more famous restaurants and Food Network. When the dust settled, he placed 4th earning him a spot as one of the Top 5 seafood chefs in the country.
